Global Sustainability Community Consultation Project

The Global Sustainability Community Consultation Project will support the sustainability community globally through establishing a framework for prioritizing philanthropic initiatives.  The project will explore the potential of internet technologies to address these priorities through enhanced dialogue and improved sustainable development.  This framework will serve as an education and engagement tool for the global sustainability community.

In phase one, the Global Sustainability Community Consultation Project will run a comprehensive, representative and functional community consultation process to develop a participatory governance and policy process for philanthropy which will develop a common understanding of the interests of the global sustainability community and integrate those interests into policies for setting priorities.

Columbia Institute anticipates a report that will summarize responses from the following world regions: North America, Latin America, Africa, Europe, Asia and Oceania and identify benefits for Canada as well as recommendations applicable to interested Canadian entities.

Donations for the project are welcome.
