Scholarships

The Columbia Institute is committed to lifelong learning that benefits all segments of society. At Columbia, we recognize that the skyrocketing cost of education makes it difficult to return to the classroom for retraining and skills upgrading. That's why we've posted following scholarship opportunities for your reference:

McGann Bursary – This exciting new bursary, worth up to $1,000 is designed for those studying or planning to study Communications who demonstrate a commitment to the issues and actions affecting working people.

Telecommunications Workers’ Union Scholarship – The TWU offers four scholarships valued at $1000 each and three scholarships valued at $750 each to children of TWU members graduating from high school.

United Steelworkers’ Union (USW) Lifelong Learning Scholarship – The United Steelworkers offers 12 scholarships valued at $1000 to members of USW in good standing for two years or more.

Allan Thomas Fellowship – The Carold Institute offers this fellowship, valued at up to $60,000, and awarded each year to a leader in the NGO/non-profit sector who would not normally have access to a sabbatical leave.
