What We Do
Scholarships
The Columbia Institute is committed to lifelong learning that benefits all segments of society. At Columbia, we recognize that the skyrocketing cost of education makes it difficult for working people and mature students to return to the classroom for retraining and skills upgrading. Check out Columbia Institute’s own Lifelong Learning Scholarship, the Dennis McGann Bursary and the Telecommunication Workers Union Scholarship in our scholarship program.
Community Capacity Building Grants
Columbia Institute fosters innovative community leadership through awarding a limited number of grants to non-profit organizations. Social research programs, new models for community capacity building and innovative ways of promoting collaborative and inclusive involvement of citizens in decision-making and community building top our criteria list. Responsible Investment
The Columbia Institute’s Responsible Investment Program provides support for pension funds, foundations and endowments seeking to incorporate responsible investment practices into their investment management processes. Through education, research, and tool development the Columbia Institute is helping to build the capacity of investment decision-makers to implement responsible investment.
